Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.“
We set off from Rochdale to go to France for about 3 months yesterday. You have to go due South, whether it’s South East for Dover or South for Portsmouth or Plymouth, its still South.
So it was no surprise to set off Northwest bound! A wonderfully creative man by the name of Nick Breakspear told me recently of this true analogy. Directional obedience under the Holy Spirit would invariably not be as we think naturally. To go the shortest distance between two points = straight line, but completely the opposite direction.
We were heading to Oswaldtwistle, coincidentally to see the screening of Nicks film. A passion which has burned brightly during the 9 years of filming, called “JERUSALEM OR BUST“. A smorgasbord of Holy Spirit visual tales, dreams and interpretations. It’s fantastic! If you get the chance, go see it. You cant fail to be creatively inspired. Then, this morning we turned around and headed south stopping in at Middleton to attend the service at Upper Room… I knew that daylight time was a little more limited today, due to the clocks changing. There was still a couple of things I needed to get, so I thought I could nip into the shopping centre to the left of the church before the service started. So after parking up, I went to the Tesco superstore to my right instead?
I get a couple of things and pushed for time head to the till. I queued, paid, and was about to leave, when I felt directed to a small book donation stand. I really didn’t have the time. There was only a handful of books, but much to my surprise there was a lingual course for French and a phrase book!
Wow, just what I wanted. How fantastic was that I thought and left a donation. Thanked the Lord for His direction and provision. I put the items and the books in the motor-home and went to the service.
During the service, one of the scriptures used was the one above from Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
As soon as I left the Church, back at the motor-home I took a quick look at the lingual course. It’s a CD language course in French, that takes 3 months! Well praise the Lord that’s how long I am going for.
120 mile trip down to Grantham this evening. There are people who have helped me get ready for this next season. There are some people I was hoping to see whom I have not had the time. I would like to thank them all, May the Lord continue to bless them all.
Much Love
God bless
Blessings going forward.i love your journey
Bless you Fran , your encouragement is invigorating.
All brothers & sisters in Christ should be open minded about where the Holy Spirit wants them to go and what to say to others always being willing to move “spirit led”. coming out of Tesco and seeing French learning material on a book table on your way to France im quite sure God has laid that before you for future reasons which will become apparent in the future. Praise The Lord for his Intercession in our Lives..
Amen brother . Glory to God in the highest.
