We arrived in France after getting up early to catch the 0400 ferry to Dunkirk.
The slight edginess of nerves regarding driving on the right hand side of the road quickly dissipated as soon as we docked. The reality brought different hazards into consideration.
The sun was just rising and casting its long reaching rays of light to beat the dark into submission. This transference brought rapid changes in temperature leaving a heavy misty fog to contend with as it clings to the van glass and wing mirrors.
A wrong choice of gear coupled with too low on the accelerator whilst going up a steep hill made a loud bang as the clutch showed its displeasure by rattling and banging! Sometimes our battle isnt what we think, its much bigger!
But we can draw strength from the Lord, Our God, in that God is with us. If we only let Him He will guide us safely through any situation or storm.
We are having a short rest just outside of St Omer to allow the fog to lift, en route to Neufchatel en Bray. Bertie has already had strokes and tickles from some if the locals outside an Aldi .
