“JESUS EST POUR MOI”
Hi, Well done if you are reading along with us on the 66 day reading plan as this week we are into week 5, day 25, nearing the end of the Historical section, with only ‘The book of ESTHER’ to read tomorrow. We are well past a third of the way, so well done, it is rather a long stride daily at an hour a day, rather than a tiptoe. If you aren’t reading alongside, or if you had started and missed some days and you have put it down, you don’t need to catch up, just continue at your own pace, the importance of reading His Word daily is not something that I could encourage enough, there is No Substitute for being in His Word.
Today was a great day, as I sat reading this morning, a faint tap came at the window, louder than the present rain. It had been quite a stormy night, the wind had changed direction into a south-easterly and doesn’t normally come from that direction, so a quick inspection of around the house was in order first thing this morning. All being well, I had sat down to study. I believe the weather is rather unpleasant at present back in Rochdale where I come from, temperature frightfully cold, especially for this time of year, I presume it is just a cold snap, and milder weather is around the corner.
It is the post lady at the window in her little yellow van, the post service here is not red like in England, I rush around as quick as I can, the rain is quite heavy and I don’t want to keep her. It’s a signed for delivery, as I squiggle on the electronic pad and bid her good day. I presume what it is as I am expecting it, it’s some tracts from the WWW.THEFOURPOINTS.COM, but these are a little different!
For these are written in French, well makes sense being in France, get some French tract. And here is what it says on them and their comparative translation;
- GOD LOVES ME! = DIEU M’AIME
- I HAVE SINNED = J’AI PECHE
- JESUS DIED FOR ME = JESUS EST MORT POUR MOI
- I NEED TO DECIDE TO LIVE FOR GOD = JE DOIS DECIDER DE VIVRE POUR DIEU.
Well, Praise the Lord for His provision.
JESUS EST MORT POUR MOI!
This statement is For All! It doesn’t matter what nationality, creed, colour or race, Jesus died for US! This company print these tracts in over 20 different languages. I may not be able to converse in French, thing is, I don’t need to. A carefully placed tract or two, in the library, at the train station, in the bottom of a supermarket trolley, all sorts of places can do all the talking that I can’t.
CHRIST DIED FOR ME!
And so, I am now charged with distributing these tracts in appropriate places, each one I pray will find the right recipient, and whether it be a gentle reminder for one that has gone quiet or astray, or a profound new message to a searching heart, the message rings loud and clear, forever and ever, across the earth;
CHRIST DIED FOR ME
JESUS EST MORT POUR MOI
Amen.
God Bless
