Return to Him
Today I would just like to look at a few truths that happen after Salvation. Yesterday I had written about it being the anniversary of my spiritual birth of 3 years ago, so today I have my list that I had written in the back of my New Testament of ‘some’ of the truths that are written for us to accept and get hold of. This was purely for my encouragement and to encourage others and in no way is it meant to say that these are steps that must be taken or this or that. I pray that you will be blessed by reading these scriptures, whether it be a reminder to you, or if you are new to the faith, an encouragement to strengthen you;
- John 1:12. His child. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, to those who believe in His name.”
- John Chapter3. Born again. John Chapter 3:1-21.
- 2 Cor 5:17. New Creation. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
- Eph 1:6. Accepted by God. “To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
- John 10:28. Eternal life. “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”
- Rom 5:10. Reconciled to God. “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
- Philip 4:7. At peace with God. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
- Rom 5:1. Justified by faith. “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through Our Lord Jesus Christ.”
- Philip 3:20. Citizen of heaven. “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
- Rom 8:17. Co-heir in Christ. “And if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
- 1 John 3:14. Passed death into life. “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.”
- 2 Tim 1:14. Holy Spirit dwells in you. “That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in you.”
- Col 2:13. Forgiven all your sins. “And you, being dead to your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.”
- Gal 4:5. Admitted into the family of God. “To redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”
- Philip 4:3. Name written in the book of life. “And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of My fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.”
- Philip 3:9. Receive the righteousness of Christ. “And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.”
- John 15:15. Friend of God. “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
- Rom 6:3. Baptised into the body of Christ. “Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?”
- 1 Pet 1:4. Inheritance in heaven awaits. “To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.”
- Eph 4:30. Sealed by the Holy Spirit. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
The title verse, is one that I will leave you with today, is from Isaiah 31:6-7;
“Return to Him against whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.”
“For in that day every man shall throw away his idols of silver and his idols of gold – sin, which your hands have made for yourselves.”
God Bless
